Nadzmi flown to Malaysia for treatment

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — Proton Holdings Bhd Chairman, Datuk Nadzmi Mohd Salleh, who suffered a mild stroke in Chennai, South India, last Sunday, was flown back to Malaysia today to undergo further treatment.

Nadzmi, who arrived on a chartered flight at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 5pm, was taken to a private hospital, the company said in a statement.

It said Nadzmi had shown positive signs of recovery but his doctors advised him to take complete rest, and not to receive visitors for the time being.

Nadzmi suffered a mild stroke after complaining of chest pains upon checking-in at a hotel in Chennai.

He was in Chennai to participate in a trade and investment mission organised by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade). — Bernama
