Maid disappears with employer’s child

SHAH ALAM, Nov 18 – The police have launched an operation to locate a two-year-old girl, believed to have been abducted by her Indonesian maid yesterday.

Siti Nurdiana Aung Soe was missing from her Brunsfields Riverview apartment in Section 13 here, when her parents arrived about 7.30pm yesterday.

The couple, cook Aung Soe alias Abu Hussin, 38, a Myanmar, and Haslinda Damanik, 35, lodged a police report.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Noor Azam Jamaluddin said today that an operation was mounted in Selangor and the Klang Valley to track down the maid, identified only as Suparmi, and the child.

He said the 50-year-old maid was an illegal immigrant. Noor Azam urged anyone with information on the maid’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or Shah Alam police headquarters at 03-55102222. – Bernama
