JULY 24 — The announcement of instituting two separate inquiries into the death of Teoh Beng Hock has indeed make a huge mockery of the public outrage, despondency and quest for justice, accountability and transparency.

The decision of the Cabinet for two separate bodies, namely a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to investigate the MACC’s standard operating procedure (SOP) on interrogation-cum-investigation and the inquest to determine the cause of Teoh’s death, is at best puzzling and at worst smacks of bad faith.

JULY 20 — The recently-concluded Manek Urai by-election provides me the opportunity to again say it to all that the New Politics is here to stay. While still in its infancy, the New Politics has consistently presented itself to have almost a life and a momentum of its own.

Recognising and better still mastering it immensely enables political practitioners and parties to derive huge electoral benefits from it. Denying and worse still remaining oblivious of its existence subjects political practitioners and parties to its wrath and fury.

Manek Urai despite being remotely rural and nothing close to being an “enlightened constituency and with informed voters”, supposedly the genesis of the New Politics, is a testimony to my above assertion.

JUN 30 — Penulis akan mengakhiri penguatkuasaan ’gag order’ yang dikenakannya sendiri. Mentelahan banyak pihak yang menggesa supaya penulis jangan terus membisu.

Penulisan ini akan mengutarakan penghujahan mengapa gagasan pemikiran Kerajan Perpaduan (KP) ditanggapinya sebagai ’ menentang arus’ dan berlawanan dengan momentum kebangunan tata orde Politik Baru yang sedang dalam proses pendewasaannya dan sangat-sangat dihajatkan oleh pengundi, sekaligus membela kepentingan rakyat dan kemaslahatan negara.

Penulisan ini terpaksa mengambil pendekatan separa ilmiah dan separa popular. Ringan bagi yang lebih mengetahui, berat bagi yang kurang menekuni. Yang pentingnya hujah ilmiah mesti diutarakan sebelum isu ini dapat ditamatkan secara muktamad.
